Remember a day that made you feel ecstatic and grateful
For me, it goes back to the first time my two-minute-old nephew stared at me while I held him in my arms. It was mesmerizing to meet him. His name is Lewis, and I couldn’t help but wonder - to him, what must we look like? On my travels, I see our world with all its dissimilar places.
It has awakened a longing in me not only to be a part of it but also of the story of the people living in it, to capture beauty and meaning, the very instant it bursts into existence. Chaos and ebullience conflating, that is why I’m here.
What I love most is to put time and effort into making true connections. It’s for this reason why shooting on film is so dear to my heart. Every time I visit a new place, I go back to the drawing table. I remember the exact moment in which I took each photograph. In the wild of these changing things, I find endless peace.
